Brian Wansink and Adam Brumberg give lecture at Aalborg University, Copenhagen
Brian Wansink and Adam Brumberg from The Food and Brand Lab, Cornell University, will guest Aalborg University, Copenhagen on the 17th of April, 2012. In collaboration with Research Centre for Prevention and Health, the SoL-Bornholm consortium and the Initiative for Science, Society and Policy (ISSP) it is with great honour to invite you to two very interesting talks on why we eat as we do and what we can do to change it for the healthier.
Brian Wansink and Adam Brumberg are researchers at the Food and Brand Lab, Cornell University, USA. Together with their team of researchers, they produce some of the leading research on eating behaviour in out of home settings with respect to the Nudging-paradigm. Brian Wansink and Adam Brumberg are experts in the psychological and economic factors that influence food consumption, both choice in food and amount consumed. The research group has conducted interesting studies e.g. the effect of spoon size on ice cream consumption and the effect of buffet display on food choice.
Professor Wansink is also known as the author of the bestseller “Mindless eating – why eat more than we think”, which discusses why consumer makes so many irrational choices when it comes to food.
The event will be held at Aalborg University’s new facility at Frederikskaj 10, Copenhagen SV at 9.30AM in auditorium 0.108. There will be held a small reception after the talks where you will have the opportunity to network and hear about MENU’s work and the new masters in Integrated Food Studies.
